Understanding the power of storytelling, ECHOboom uses narrative to connect people, cultures and communities in meaningful ways. The Sister City Project between Tuskegee (Alabama) and South Berwick (Maine), offers a compelling demonstration of this approach. ECHOboom has shaped a cross-cultural story that has moved beyond geography and difference to focus on shared humanity, history and community.
This storytelling continues through a cookbook, "Color Us Connected: A Feast of Roots & Recipes" a collateral extension of the Sister City Project.
The cookbook transforms the relationship into a tangible cultural narrative, using recipes, family traditions and personal stories to explore the distinct roots—and unexpected connections—of these two communities.
